about Marilu Sherer

Marilu Sherer is the artist behind Marilu.biz. She lives and works on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC with the love of her life, Peter. They have two spirited dogs, Mrs. Zoë Stardust, an older Airedale, and Sweet Basil, a younger Welsh Terrier.

Raised by a redheaded creative dynamo and an intellectual southern gentleman, she grew up enjoying her friends (because they made bad times good and good times better), reading (because books expanded her world), writing skits (just for the fun of it), and, sunbathing (because it just felt good). She continued these pastimes at Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C. where she studied English, art, and history. In Washington, DC she worked in politics and public radio before becoming a professional photographer.
